Thank you for attending our Broadway Stars on Stage program where ECPAA, together with husband & wife team Carolyn Berliner and Jared Trudeau (Woodstock Academy alumnus and New York City-based voice teacher), brought Broadway stars to eastern Connecticut to perform an incredible one-night-only concert in the Cabaret Theatre at Mohegan Sun.

Our first Broadway Stars on Stage event took place Saturday, August 13, 2022 in the Cabaret Theatre and included a concert and a VIP cocktail hour meet & greet.

To work toward the part of our mission to train and support a new generation of artists, we offered a Broadway Honors Ensemble to local students. This was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to sing with and learn from professional singing actors from Broadway and beyond.

Broadway Stars on Stage Lineup

We're so excited to welcome this phenomenal lineup of Broadway stars!

Mike Stapleton (music director) is a Jazz Composition graduate of Berklee College of Music and a former pianist for The Boston Conservatory. For the past few seasons, he has played piano for the Broadway productions of Wicked and Beetlejuice, in addition to many pre-Broadway workshops. He has also musically directed a number of performances at Feinstein’s 54 Below with many Broadway performers.

Our pit band will also consist of professional musicians.

Broadway Honors Ensemble:

Local high school and college students had a once-in-a-lifetime chance to perform with Broadway stars and be a part of ECPAA’s Broadway Stars on Stage program via our Broadway Honors Ensemble program.

The Honors Ensemble program included:

  • group workshop sessions (Broadway Dance Call and a Vocal Teaching Session) with NYC-based voice teacher Jared Trudeau

  • inclusion in the performance with Broadway stars during ECPAA’s ‘Broadway Stars on Stage’ show on Saturday, August 13, with a live pit orchestra

  • name in the show’s program

  • event t-shirt

  • eligibility to submit video auditions for our solo competition
