Soloist Competition Deadlines: Our 2026 submission deadline is TBD!  All submissions will be confirmed via email.

Competition History

In 2022, we were blown away by the caliber of all submissions. One honors ensemble member was selected as the soloist competition winner and performed a duet with a Broadway star!  Elizabeth Fox of Berlin, CT, performed For Good from Wicked with Christine Dwyer (who played Elphaba on Broadway and at the 2014 Tony Awards!).

Additionally, five runners-up were featured during ensemble numbers.

In 2024, we had over a dozen submissions. All of those who auditioned were able to perform "Heart of Stone" with Mallory Maedke from the original Broadway cast of Six

Three Soloists were selected to perform solos in "This is Me" from The Greatest Showman alongside Keirsten Hodgens. Emma Brayman sang the Éponine solo in "One Day More" from Les Misérables with our entire BSOS'24 professional cast members, and Sydney Churchill sang the Princess Fiona part in "Who I'd Be" from Shrek the Musical with Paul-Jordan Jansen and Ryan Vona.
